JAPAN BUYING TRIP - SPRING 2007
We Will Be Heading Off To Japan Again On March 4th - 11th To Hand Select Our Spring Collection. As Usual We Will Be Fully Quarantining Our Fish And Blood Testing Them For KHV, Ensuring The Utmost Health Standards In Our Fish.

WEBSITE ISSUES
Due To A Line Fault, We have Been Unable To Update Our Website Since November. This Situation Has Been Beyond Our Control, We Will Be Updating The Website Shortly, With The Majority Of Updates Planned For Shortly After We Get From Our Japan Trip, March 4th - 11th.

QUARANTINE UPDATE
As Our Customers Will Already Know, Allandale Takes Quarantining Fish Extremely Seriously, As Such We Have An Extremely Robust Quarantine Procedure. We Have An Open Record System, Where Any Visitor May Have A Look At Our Quarantine Records Of New Stocks.

17/11/06
CEFAS Confirm That The Blood Tests Submitted For The KHV ELISA Tests (KHV Antibody Detection) Are All NEGATIVE, Meaning That They Have Not Been Exposed To Koi Herpes Virus.

Our New 'KHV Screening Programme' Has Become Part Of Our Rigorous Quarantine Procedure Which Works To Ensure The Very Best Health In Our Fish, And Has Several Safety Features Which Act As Protection For Our Customers.

We Will Not Be Relying Entirely On The Blood Tests For Security Against KHV. As Standard Our Fish Will Continue Through Quarantine, Which Incorporates Inductive Temperature Cycling And Sentinel Fish Quarantining.

Production Development
Over The Last Several Months We Have Been Running A Pilot Koi Production Programme. This Programme Is Only At Its Early Infancy Stage At Present, But Has Proved Very Interesting & Hold Future Promise.

The Programme Is To Explore The Potential For Production Of High Class Nishikigoi Here In The UK. Although The Programmes Yield Was Relatively Low, Considering Some New Scientific Trials & Methods Used, We Are Very Excited About Its Results, And Can Hint That There Will Be Some Exciting News Releases On The Horizon.

We Will Be Publishing Details Of This Seasons Spawning & Production Work Online In The Next Several Weeks.

Reassuringly It Has Been Not Just Sales To New Users, But We Have Seen A High Percentage Of Customers Return For More, Which Stands As A good Testiment To The Quality And Results Of The Food.
